Fume hood face velocity can be controlled or monitored with fast response rates using the Triatek HMS-1600L. This precision instrument can modulate exhaust air flow to hold fume hood face velocity at a user defined, programmable setpoint. The unit also provides both audible and visual warning alarms when flow conditions exceed the user defined safe limits. 
Face velocity can be controlled by modulating both air flow dampers or variable speed drives using the HMS-1600L. PID floating point controls are locked into the HMS-1600L using its easy to use setup menu. When only monitoring is required, the analog signal from the HMS-1600L can be set up for linear proportional voltage to connect with almost any remote monitoring or automation system using FTT-10A LONTALK communications.
