The North Louisiana Forensics Science Center located in Shreveport, Louisiana will be a one-stop shop for criminal investigators, allowing staff to perform autopsies, forensic toxicology tests, and all the other functions of a crime lab at one facility. The new forensic center will expedite criminal investigations in northern Louisiana, as currently some investigative tests must be sent to facilities across the state, resulting in long delays. The center will serve approximately half the state of Louisiana, around 29 parishes.
The 94,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility will have 36 rooms requiring 18 HMS-1650L Fume Hood Controllers, 24 FMS-1650L Room Pressure Controllers, 40 VAV-1000L Variable Air Volume Controllers, and 24 Heresite-coated Venturi Air Valves. Triatek’s products will provide airflow control for fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, and the general air supply and exhaust, protecting investigators and scientists from toxic fumes, dusts, and other airborne contaminants.
After the contractors complete the construction and product installation, the Triatek team will travel to Shreveport to ensure all the controllers are installed correctly, and assist our Louisiana representative, CIS, with the laboratory system startup which will include end user training.
