Watt-Hour Meter (PM-1000 Series)

TRIATEK's PM-1000 Series Watt-Hour Meter measures power in Watts-Hours and provides a pulse output proportional to energy consumption.
Utilizing three current transformers and up to 480 volt service on single and polyphase power systems, the unit performs necessary factoring and math functions to calculate energy use in Watt-Hours. Watt-Hours are transmitted as a dry contact closure rated at 120V, 0.3A, -10VA maximum for remote control or monitoring applications. The standard Watt-Hour calculation factor is calibrated to output 5 watt-hours per count. However, to increase the pulses the unit can be ordered with other Watt Hour per count factors. The equation for determining KWH is the potential transformer ratio multiplied by the current transformer ratio multiplied by the Watt-Hour/Count ratio divided by 1000. For example, if there is no potential transformer and if the current transformer ratio is 600:5, and the Watt-Hour/Count is 5, then the KWH value per closure on the PM-1001 would be 0.6 KWH (600÷5)*5)/1000.
The PM-1000 Series Watt-Hour Meter is housed in a general purpose enclosure for mounting in a panel or on a flat surface.
