Provided as an extra safety option to the TRIATEK HMS, the POS-100 sensor adds a feed forward approach to the HMS in response to changes in airflow caused by a change in fume hood sash position. The sensor can be configured with the HMS to operate with the sash configurations found on most fume hoods and combines with the HMS to provide the fastest and safest approach to attaining face velocity setpoint.
The POS-100 responds directly to changes in the sash opening to achieve calibrated airflow requirements instantaneously. Then, the TRIATEK HMS controller uses a closed loop sidewall sensor to further fine tune the airflow until the proper airflow setpoint has been achieved.
