John Scholten joined Triatek in 2001 as the Director of Technology, and is an experienced cross functional electronics engineer with over 30 years of product development expertise. He is primarily responsible for the LonWorks® product line, overseeing the calibration infrastructure of sensors and Venturi valves, and working on product technology introductions.
He has international exposure to product development having worked in Australia, Hong Kong, and the United States. His primary engineering focus is on embedded controllers targeted as distributed control systems encompassing the system’s architecture, circuit design, board layout, embedded firmware, and PC software aspects of the product solution.
John also has several patents in the healthcare industry for variable air volume management systems, sash sensing for fume hoods, and speech synthesizers for people with disabilities.
His previous experience includes working as a senior design engineer for CSI Control Systems and Emerson Climate Technologies. He has also served as an Air Force Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.
John received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and post graduate diploma in digital controls from Footscray Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. He enjoys wood work, metal work, and working with glass.
